CHASE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! HIS FOSTER FAMILY JUST COULDN’T BEAR TO GIVE HIM UP AFTER LOOKING AFTER HIM AFTER HIS OPERATIONS, SO HE’S STAYING WITH THEM… HE’S HOME 🙂
We are so very sorry to bring to your attention the story of a loving, kind, gentle dog who we have named ‘Chase’. This very handsome boy is very nervous at present which is understandable considering his story…
Chase came into the stray block of our neighbouring kennels a couple of weeks ago and waited for his owners to come and claim him, but nobody came… He had been handed in by a kind man who picked him up after witnessing him being thrown from a car at a roundabout.
Once he had completed his time on the stray block he was handed over into our care. We took him to the vets for his health check to makes sure he was ok, and have his injections ready for a new family, but it was only then that we realised how appallingly this poor dog has been treated 😦
This forgiving and gracious boy is around 4 years old, but has already experienced unimaginable cruelty in his short life. The vets discovered a lead pellet lodged in the back of Chase’s neck, and he has already undergone one operation to have it removed… But sadly they also discovered a second pellet that is not so easy to remove 😦
This second and more dangerous pellet is lodged between his windpipe and the muscle of his shoulder, which makes it difficult and painful for him when walking… It also puts him at risk of lead poisoning, especially as we have no idea how long they have been there!
Our only option is to get it out as soon as possible, but this requires specialist surgery and care to ensure he survives the operation; and this dear friends is where we sadly need to ask for help in one of two ways;
1. Any donation you can make towards the operation Chase desperately needs would be gratefully received, no matter how small, it all adds up.
2. We need to find Chase a loving home, where he will never again experience cruelty, and where he will be safe and loved for the rest of his life…
We genuinely don’t like to ask any of our supporters for money, but this gentle boy deserves the best chance possible to live a happy life, free from pain. Can you help us to help him? If you can we can take donations by PayPal – firstname.lastname@example.org or via bank transfer to Wellingborough Dog Welfare, Sort Code 30-99-26, Account Number 00831092 quoting ‘Chase’.
If you think you may have the perfect home for Chase we would also love to hear from you. We are open every day from 10.30 am until 3pm, or you can call us on 07561 129207.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support, as without it we really could not continue to help these poor dogs just when they need us the most.
